Terms of Service

Last updated — 2026-04-23

Plain-English version. Use Replayer for short, honest breaks. Keep the away banner on unless you have a reason to remove it. Don't be a jerk with it. If you break something by being a jerk with it, that's on you.

Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Replayer, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

Intended use

Replayer is designed for brief, transparent micro-breaks during video calls. The app includes built-in guardrails — a default "I'll be right back" banner, a visible menu-bar trigger, and optional auto-end timers — to encourage responsible use.

You agree to:

  • Use Replayer for short, necessary breaks — not as a full-meeting stand-in
  • Respect your team's meeting culture and expectations
  • Follow your employer's policies on camera and meeting conduct
  • Keep the transparency features on when your context calls for it
  • Not be a dick. Respect other people and their time.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for how you use Replayer. We provide the tool and the guardrails. You are accountable for:

  • Compliance with your employer's policies
  • Maintaining trust with your team and colleagues
  • Any consequences from misuse of the application

Purchases

The $4.99 in-app purchase is a one-time, non-consumable item sold by Apple through the Mac App Store. All payment, refund, and family-sharing policies for the purchase are governed by Apple. Restores across your Macs are handled by StoreKit.

Intellectual property

Replayer and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Good Hats, LLC and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Disclaimer

Replayer is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the app will be error-free or uninterrupted. Use at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

Good Hats, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of Replayer, including but not limited to professional or reputational consequences.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Replayer after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We'll update the "Last updated" date at the top when that happens.
